The Treasure of Sunken Turku

Many know of the archeological excavations near Turku castle, but few are aware of the ancient land areas that are now under the River Aura and the excavations there. The latest breakthrough happened near Olavintie, when it was discovered that some underwater treasures could be directly accessed by submarine!

The first findings indicate that the items come from Turku’s golden age, almost 200 years ago… Something, however, has upset the Archeological Society of Southern Finland: they refuse to return to the excavations or talk about what was found. How can something so old be so upsetting? What will the underwater treasure of Turku tell you?
