GENERAL STUFF

Escape Room, Room Escape, Mystery Room, Pakohuone (in Finnish)… All of these mean the same thing. In an escape room, your 2-5-person team has an hour to find a way out through all the mysteries and puzzles in a locked room. One task will lead to the next tip, key or lock. After completing the entire chain of tasks and solving the mystery you just might find your way out.

Mysteeri’s games are 100% Finnish handicrafts and completely done by Mysteeri’s staff.

We’re recreate our games every other year, every 1.5 to 3 years. Upgrades and fixes are made a lot frequently. We currently have 13 different games around Finland, so if your local games have already been played, it might be time for a domestic tour.

BEFORE THE GAME

No need, everything will be explained before the game! Just don’t forget to bring your brains with you. Eyeglasses are recommended for those who use them. There is no need for jogging or running in the game, so you can arrive in regular clothing. Or anyway you like.

We hope that you arrive to the game location 15 minutes before the start of your reserved time. This way we have time to go through all the rules and instructions before the game.

Your team will have 60 minutes in the mystery room, but it is better to reserve 90 minutes for the whole experience. We hope that the players arrive to the game location 15 minutes before the start of their reserved time, so we have time to go through all the rules and instructions before the game. After the game it’s better to reserve another 10 minutes for game feedback, team photography and to answer any questions you may still have about your experience.

Yes they can. The booking system automatically creates gaps between games. If you’d like the games to start at the same time, please contact your local Mysteeri. Keep in mind that there might be other games that can make the chance impossible.

Yes they can in most of the situations. The general age limit of the games is 16 years, but younger members may attend the game accompanied by an adult. The games contain thrilling material, so we don’t recommend the games for children under 10 years of age.

Team size in Mysteeri’s Room Escape is from 2 to 5 people for a variety of reasons. Most important of them being security and gaming experience. For security purposes, we want to provide enough room to play and move. The experience suffers if there is not enough space or things to do in the room.

These are the reasons we do not recommend exceeding the 5 person limit. The most optimal group size is 3-4 persons, making the experience as good as possible. For exceptional situations, you can ask directly from your local Mysteeri if they are willing to bend these rules.

The payment will take place after the game. We accept debit and credit cards for payment, but currently no cash. There is also a billing option for companies.

It is not necessary to notify us if the number of players in ONE room changes. HOWEVER, if you intend to change the number of reserved rooms (also in duel games), we ask you to notify us 2 days before the intended game. The payment is done on the spot after the game, and only the people who eventually played will be charged.

Reserved games can be canceled 2 days before the game via email or phone. For games canceled after this, we will charge a 50€ fee. For uncanceled and no-show games we will charge the full price.

IN THE GAME

The escape from the mystery room can only be done using your own brain and wits, so we recommend that you keep it as clear as possible. We do not allow alcohol in our premises. We reserve the right to refuse admission to players who are too intoxicated for the safety of other players and game masters.

It is not necessary to notify us if the number of players in ONE room changes and the total number of players won’t exceed the five person limit. HOWEVER, if you intend to change the number of reserved rooms (also in duel games), we ask you to notify us 2 days before the intended game. The payment is done on the spot after the game, and only the people who eventually played will be charged.

Our rooms are not 100% unobstructed, as some of the entrances in the game room may be narrower or the items are placed higher than table hight. The facilities may also prove to be none unobstructed. All the locations are not equipped with lifts and ramps. However we have conducted several games where one or more players had a wheelchair or a limited eyesight. For more information and recommendations please contact your local Mysteeri.

Unfortunately that is not possible.

The walls in the room start to move closer while molten lava runs from the ceiling, like in the Saw movies.

However, the Finnish law forces us to let the players out of the room after the time runs out. In addition, the game area is monitored constantly, so it is possible to pause the game at any time.

Suomen lainsäädännön takia tyydymme kuitenkin siihen, että pelinvetäjä tulee päästämään pelaajat tunnin jälkeen pois. Pelinvetäjä eli mysteerikko tarkkailee huonetta lisäksi koko pelin ajan niin, että peli on mahdollista keskeyttää milloin tahansa.

Almost all of our games are playable in English. You will find all the language options from the description of the games. If you would like the game in English, please notify us in the “Additional Info” box in the reservation.
